Thalie Barnier is a French translator and copy-editor, with seven years' experience in publishing, particularly in the humanities and social sciences.

My clients and former employers include EHESS, the journal Annales Hss, Sciences Po Paris, the Ceri, the University of Paris 1-Sorbonne, the Institut Français, Central European University Press (Budapest), Lenz Press (Milan), the Venice Biennale, and the Geneva Center for Contemporary Art, the Presses universitaires de France, Les Liens qui Libèrent, les éditions la Fabrique, les éditions In Press.

A Sciences Po Paris graduate, I also hold a masters degree in history from its doctoral school as well as a masters degree in education. I studied translation at Cambridge University (UK).

Some of the areas in which I have professional experience and for which I have cultivated a particular interest are science fiction, early modern urban history and Mediterranean history, historiography, political sociology, pedagogy, psychoanalysis, contemporary art, feminism, gender studies, and critical theory.
